Cookson First Aid can now provide Outdoor First Aid
Emergency Outdoor First Aid (One day – 8 hours of training)
Outdoor First Aid (two days – 16 hours of training)
To complete this course you must meet the following criteria
– Age 14 +
– Physically Able
– Sufficient Command of English Language (Level 2 Literacy)

- Conduct a Scene Survey
- Perform a Primary Survey
- Protect a Casualty from Environmental Factors & Manage Hypothermia
- Manage an Unconscious Casualty
- Manage a non-breathing Casualty (CPR & AED)
- Manage a Choking Casualty
- Manage External Bleeding including Catastrophic Haemorrhage
- Manage a Casualty following Water Immersion
- Outdoor and Remote Considerations & Protocols

- Perform Secondary Survey
- Management of Injuries to Bone, Muscles & Joints
- Managements of Major Injuries
- Management of Burns & Scalds
- Management of Eye Injuries

- Management of Anaphylaxis

- Management of the Effects of Heat & Cold
