First Aid for Clinical Settings

This course is ideal for Primary Care settings, including GP surgeries and dentists

This two hour course is taught in line with Resuscitation Council guidelines and meets the requirements outlined by Royal College of GP’s, CQC and other statutory bodies.

This training is valid for 12 months, and must be updated annually

Our training team will also complete an audit of equipment, procedures and patient needs.

All learners will be issued with a certificate of attendance on successful completion of training to be able to demonstrate competence and meet core standards.

This training includes;

  • Primary Survey
  • ABCDE Approach
  • Management of unconscious breathing patient
  • BLS / CPR for infant, child and adult patients
  • Use of an AED
  • Recognition & Management of Anaphylaxis
  • Use of Oxygen in line with relevant guidance
  • Additional modules are available for additional time and cost:
  • Recognition & Management of Seizures
  • Management of Chest Pain / Cardiac Emergencies
  • Asthma Recognition / Management
  • Recognition & Management of Sepsis including NEWS 2 Scoring
  • Emergency Drugs & Equipment Overview

 

Our trainers can include additional content in the course, subject to agreement prior to the delivery of the course.
